Optimizes sales resources to most effectively accelerate profitable sales to meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals while managing a territory operating budget

Works in partnership with the Territory Account Managers to develop and execute an annual accelerated business growth plan including new product launches, pricing management, organic growth in accounts and competitive conversions.

Monitors appropriate market segments and competitive offerings and adjusts tactics and go to market strategy accordingly to accelerate sales growth.

Works closely with Territory Account Managers, Marketing, R&D, and Distributor Partners to overcome customer obstacles to maintain and gain new business.

Utilizes and updates CRM MS 365 platform daily to manage the assigned territory. Keeps the top 100 accounts current monthly

Understands all products and all market segments served, acronyms and regulatory terminology to conduct strong sales discussions with customers

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.  Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

        Knowledge

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences or a related field required.

·      Minimum of 4 years of experience of B2B sales required that includes the following:

o    Sales experience and/or knowledge of the food & beverage processing market

o    Sales experience in sales and/or marketing in the health care market

o    Sales experience in sales and /or marketing in the Food Diagnostics market

·      Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication.

·      Must have strong sales and interpersonal skills.

·      Must be proficient in contract negotiation skills

·      Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.

·      Must be able to work in a team environment.

·      Must be able to pay close attention to details.

WORKING Conditions

·         Minimum of 50% overnight travel required domestically and internationally.

·         May occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.

·         Will require frequent visits to customer manufacturing sites, that are in Agricultural/Industrial areas.

·         Will require interactions with customers at their laboratories, and occasionally interact in a food microbiology type of laboratory environment

·         Will require occasional work in the food microbiology laboratory type of condition, to help customers trouble shoot technical issues, onsite.    

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         This position is considered light work - exerting up to 13 Kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 6.66Kg of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the employee sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.  May occasionally have to lift and carry items as heavy 14Kg-35Kg, with assistance.

·         Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer screen

·         Frequently required to maintain a static position; talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions are frequently required.
