GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

Develops and improves Machining Manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods to achieve manufacturing target e.g. OEE. Productivity, Efficiency and New Product launch. Deploy system, conduct appropriate training and standardize process and work standard to sustain best in class process.

Evaluates Manufacturing processes and analyze to improve to achieve or above standard

-Create Machining Process parameter, program, standard condition

-Cycle time Machining improvement

Improves Manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout

-Drive OEE Machining process

-Create Work flow, Value Stream Map

-Improve and maintain Layout

Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

-Apply DOE, Cpk, 6 Sigma, MSA to up capability of Machining process

-Initiate NWT/Cross-functional CI to gain more Safety, Productivity, Quality, Efficiency and Business Goal

Provides Manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements

-Capacity Planning, Tack time, UPH Machines & Labor

Process cost

-Scheduling and ability to follow up

-Line balancing and cellular concept deployment

Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

-Apply FMEA, QC 7 tools report, Pareto, 8D, A3, FA

Provides Manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests

-Provide update data for VPM, APQP, PPAP, Costing and Admin for government request

Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service

-Maintain lists of Machines , tooling, equipment, Inspection gauges and working system stations versus layout

Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data

-CNC program and Jig & Fixture design

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

§  Normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts, etc. The job also works in plant conditions with frequent exposure (20%-50%) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.  Overnight travel is required.
