As a Supply Chain Manager specializing in the setup of systems and processes for Dangerous Goods, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient handling of hazardous materials throughout the supply chain. Some of the key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the safe and efficient handling of Dangerous Goods.
  2. Identifying and selecting the most suitable carriers, warehouses, and logistics partners for the transportation and storage of hazardous materials.
  3. Creating and implementing robust procedures for the handling, packaging, labeling, and documentation of Dangerous Goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  4. Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as procurement, production, and quality assurance to ensure that all Dangerous Goods-related processes are integrated seamlessly into the broader supply chain.
  5. Conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans to manage potential incidents and emergencies involving Dangerous Goods.
  6. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of all parties involved in the handling of Dangerous Goods, including carriers, warehouses, and logistics partners.
  7. Developing and implementing training programs to ensure that all personnel involved in the handling of Dangerous Goods are properly trained and certified.
  8. Staying up-to-date with changes to regulations and guidelines related to the handling of Dangerous Goods, and ensuring that all processes and procedures are updated accordingly.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in supply chain management, as well as specialized knowledge of the regulations and guidelines governing the handling of Dangerous Goods. You should be highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and strong project management skills. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
