Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing and Business Development Executive to support sales and business development activities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will work closely with local and international suppliers, internal teams, and clients to deliver competitive solutions and drive business growth.
This role involves managing shipment coordination, creating accurate cost sheets, and ensuring timely billing and payments. Additionally, you will collaborate with the sales team to enhance quotation efficiency, source competitive freight, customs clearance, and trucking costs, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth:
- Drive business growth by balancing product, pricing, placement, and promotional strategies to achieve long-term objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, products, or partnerships, and develop actionable plans to leverage these opportunities.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Develop formal and informal methods to gather client feedback and ensure service excellence.
- Foster a customer-focused culture across the team by addressing client concerns and improving service levels.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers such as shipping lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and 3PL providers.
- Explore potential partnerships with new suppliers to expand service offerings.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the timely closure of shipment jobs and coordinate with the accounting team for accurate billing and payments.
- Support the sales team by preparing competitive and detailed quotations.
Team Development:
- Guide and motivate employees to enhance performance through regular feedback and training opportunities.
- Work with HR to identify and address training needs within the team.
Budget & Performance Management:
- Develop and oversee the sales and marketing budget, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Analyze and monitor sales and marketing activities to achieve company growth objectives.
Client Acquisition & Retention:
- Lead the customer acquisition process from identification to securing agreements, involving internal stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and operational readiness.
Market & Industry Trends:
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop and implement branding strategies to attract clients, employees, and suppliers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or 3PL management.
- Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
