About the job Financial Controller

The position heads Finance, Accounts and Taxation. S/he is responsible for but not limited to :

  1. Providing support to the CEO, Group CFO, and India CFO, local head of operations in India
  2. Leading and managing finance functions to safeguard the company assets and funds, and adherence and followups to agreements
  3. Coordinating the preparation of regular analytical financial reports, special analyses and information reports to Group and financial report for statutory compliances.
  4. Ensuring compliance to meet corporate headquarter needs, adhering to all external compliance requirements of the Government, Auditors. Banks etc
  5. Leading internal controls procedures documentation and process improvements

Hands-on Operational & Financial Responsibilities

  1. Statutory Compliance related to financial statements, GST, taxable income and ensure, timely payments of taxes and filling of annual returns, TDS (Tax deducted at source) etc,
  2. Maintaining accurate books of accounts in their ERP system in line the operations and ensure they also comply with India Accounting Standards and group financial standards for timely monthly reporting and statutory audit.
  3. Coordinate regulatory and statutory filings and documentation with our partners & legal personnel (include but not limited to ROC, MGT, AOC-4 etc), AGM
  4. Cashflow forecast and management (inflow and outflow)
  5. Lead Internal control & Governance process with CFO and operations.
  6. Responsible for monthly, quarterly & year-end closing incl schedules, notes, and annexures
  7. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports with dashboards, and active engagement of senior corporate management for follow-ups at group level.
  8. Spearheaded various initiatives & implementations aimed at critical business processes standardization, improvements & automation of financial processes for efficiency.
  9. Timely execution of payments for invoices, payroll within organisation with partners, HR and for suppliers
  10. Assisting CFO in Project Finance, disbursement planning, cashflow planning & budgeting.
  11. Ownership of ERP system, including setting up the system for effective costs follow up
  12. Coordinate banking transactions with Group especially for related party transactions

Qualification and technical skills required to execute the role.

  1. Successful candidate should be a chartered Accountant with between 8 to 18 years of hands on experience
  2. Strong Hands-on experience at operational level including understand project accounting
  3. Should have eye for details have to roll-up sleeves and execute the operational responsibilities him/herself
  4. Possess good, reporting presentation skills and organizational skills with international group reporting experience
  5. Strong knowledge of transfer pricing, local tax, and local statutory compliance requirements.
  6. Strong knowledge of foreign currency regulation and requirements of India banking requirements
  7. You will also be a strong business partner coming with result backed achievements in terms of supporting operational growth.
  8. Should have a strong track record of maintaining internal controls & compliance as well as cost controlling experience
  9. Should have solid knowledge and experience of working in ERP system, ownership of accounting processes
  10. Good communication in English and can have strong people management skills as strength.
