Role Overview
We are looking for a full-time Accounts Manager who can maintain complete books of accounts and head the department.
The candidate should be able to generate various MIS reports, provide monthly accounts finalization with Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements, and file various statutory returns (GST, TDS, etc.). The candidate should have deep knowledge of accounting practices as well as statutory compliances such as GST, IT-TDS/TCS, PF, PT, and ESI.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain complete books of accounts and lead the Accounts function.
- Generate various MIS reports.
- Ensure monthly accounts finalization, including preparation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
- Independently handle all accounting responsibilities end-to-end without executive intervention.
- Act as the fiduciary control function for the company.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and ownership in all accounting activities.
Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliances.
- File various statutory returns including GST, TDS, and other applicable filings.
- Maintain compliance with GST, IT-TDS/TCS, PF, PT, and ESI regulations.
- Double up as the internal auditor.
- Liaise with external auditors for completion of annual financial statements and tax audits.
- Prepare Board reports, resolutions, and minutes in coordination with the Company Secretary (CS) service provider.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
We are looking for a self-motivated leader who can:
- Steer the small Accounts team to be productive and meticulous.
- Independently manage expectations and compliance with company financial norms across all employees.
- Nurture external relationships such as:
- Banks
- Lenders
- Debtors and creditors
- Accounting and Payroll service providers
- Statutory bodies such as GST and Income Tax departments
Inventory Management & Control
- Oversee inventory management and stock control processes to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, reconciliation, and inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory movement, identify variances, and implement corrective controls.
- Coordinate with stores, procurement, and operations teams for effective inventory planning and reporting.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Accounting function.
Technology Skills
- Expert user knowledge of Tally ERP (latest version).
- Experience with remote working of Tally.
- Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Kannada and Hindi are highly desirable.
