Lead Consultant–Partnerships & Growth

About the Role

A leading consulting and advisory organization working across sustainability, climate, infrastructure, urban development, governance, and social impact sectors is seeking a senior professional to lead partnerships, business development, and growth initiatives.

The role requires building strategic relationships, identifying new business opportunities, leading proposal development, and supporting the organization's expansion across public, private, and development sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Partnerships

• Identify and pursue strategic funding, partnership, and business opportunities.
• Build and manage relationships with clients, donors, institutional funders, and strategic partners.
• Represent the organization in industry forums, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
• Track market trends, funding opportunities, and sector developments.
• Support partnership development with consulting firms, technical experts, research institutions, and implementation partners.

Proposal Development & Strategic Growth

• Lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, consortium building, proposal development, and submission.
• Develop concept notes, technical proposals, and business pitches.
• Drive high-quality and timely submission of bids and proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external experts to design competitive solutions.
• Contribute to organizational growth strategy and market positioning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Postgraduate degree in Urban Planning, Environment, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business, or related disciplines.
• 8–12 years of experience in consulting, business development, partnerships, fundraising, or strategic growth roles.
• Strong understanding of sectors such as climate, sustainability, infrastructure, urban development, governance, energy, water, mobility, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience leading proposals and bids for government, donor-funded, and private-sector engagements.
• Strong stakeholder management, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent proposal writing, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
