Our partner organisation is an impact-driven, evidence-based nonprofit working to eliminate childhood toxin poisoning.
Its programmes involve generating data, supporting governments with the introduction and enforcement of regulation, and assisting manufacturers in transitioning to toxin-free paints/spices/cosmetics
The organisation partners with leading global health and environmental institutions and has received grants from major philanthropic foundations and international development agencies.
About the Role
Our partner organisation works closely with a Development Consortium (DC) in India to deliver and implement its programmes. This role sits within DC's team while primarily supporting the project team based in India.
As the Operations Liaison Manager, you will play a key role in enabling the organisation's mission by ensuring the India team has strong, reliable operational support.
You will coordinate onboarding and training, oversee administrative and documentation workflows, process expenses and payments, and provide guidance on organisational policies. You may also support the global Operations Team on additional projects when required.
With a dotted reporting line to the global Operations Team, you will serve as the first point of contact for all operations-related matters for the DCs India team. This includes working closely with team members and managers and helping maintain an organised, values-driven operational environment that allows programmes to run effectively.
The role is based in India and involves regular collaboration with the India programme team and global Operations colleagues across UTC-5 to UTC zones.
Responsibilities
Onboarding, Training & Administration

Coordinate onboarding and training for all India-based staff

Manage administrative and documentation workflows

Ensure records and policies are accurate and up to date
Expenses, Finance & Payment Processing

Collect, verify, and process expenses and payment requests

Liaise with DCs finance team

Ensure accurate and timely financial workflows
Primary Operations Contact for India Team

Serve as the first point of contact for operations-related matters

Provide day-to-day support and resolve queries promptly
Coordination Between DC and Our Partner Organisation
- Act as the operational bridge between DC's operations, finance, and programme teams
- Collaborate regularly with the global Operations Team to ensure smooth communication and aligned processes
Support to India Program Administration

Contribute to programme-related operational improvements

Strengthen systems and tools
Support for Global Operations Projects
- Contribute to cross-organisational operational projects and process improvements
- Support broader organisational needs as required
What Were Looking For

Strong alignment with the organisation's mission and values
- At least five years of relevant experience in operations, administration, finance, or coordination (preferably in a nonprofit or project-based environment)
- High confidence working with numbers, with strong accuracy and attention to detail
