About the Role
The Program Manager will lead and support environmental health programs across various Indian states. The role requires close collaboration with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and local partners to:

Support regulatory implementation

Generate actionable data to inform policy
This role requires a high-agency individual comfortable operating in dynamic environments, managing diverse stakeholders, and balancing strategy with execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Engagement & Technical Assistance
- Engage policymakers across relevant ministries, agencies, and levels of government (central and state)
- Support prioritisation of environmental toxin-related health issues within government agendas
- Provide technical assistance on regulatory implementation
- Prepare policy briefs, informational materials, and technical resources
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and workshops
- Coordinate project planning with government counterparts
2. Industry Engagement

Engage key industry stakeholders across the supply chain

Present the case for eliminating harmful substances from products
-
Support manufacturers in identifying safer alternatives
-
Facilitate connections with suppliers of safer raw materials
-
Identify and address industry barriers to compliance
3. Research & Data Collection

Conduct product studies, including procurement and sample coordination
-
Collaborate with laboratories and research partners
-
Prepare study reports and synthesise relevant literature
-
Analyse findings to inform program strategy
4. Strategy & Planning

Support development of state-level implementation plans
-
Identify program risks and troubleshoot bottlenecks
-
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes
-
Share learnings with the global team
5. Partnerships & Local Coordination

Identify and manage relationships with local consultants and partner organisations

Build civil society and institutional partnerships
6. Cross-Team Contribution

Participate in regular team meetings and global calls

Contribute to content development, training materials, webinars, and internal guidance documents
