Role Overview
Our partner organization is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and strategic leader to helm Corporate Relations and MARCOM. This leadership role will be responsible for shaping and executing our corporate partnerships and communications strategy ensuring sustained funding, deeper programmatic impact, meaningful volunteer engagement, and enhanced visibility for the organization.
The role also includes overseeing strategic communications, media relations, and brand visibility, while leading and mentoring high-performing teams in both corporate relations and marketing communications.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations & Fundraising
- Drive the strategic direction of corporate engagement aligned with mission and goals.
- Build a 3-year funding pipeline by identifying and cultivating partnerships with CSR arms, HNIs, Foundations, and Corporates.
- Onboard funding partners aligned with the organizations core focus areas Health, Education, Environment, and Livelihoods while adapting to diverse corporate interests.
- Advocate for underrepresented and emerging community needs by sensitizing partners to sector realities.
- Negotiate and formalize partnerships through MoUs that ensure mutual benefit and long-term collaboration.
- Manage a portfolio of 200 Cr annually, ensuring strategic allocation and optimal utilization.
- Facilitate partnerships between corporates and NGO partners, ensuring seamless alignment of interests and objectives.
- Foster collaborative platforms that bring multiple corporates together to address social issues collectively.
Strategic Communications (MARCOM)
- Oversee the MARCOM team to drive cohesive branding, storytelling, and visibility initiatives.
- Guide the development and dissemination of content across media platforms to highlight impact, engage donors.
- Ensure strategic alignment between program objectives and communication narratives.
Volunteering & Community Engagement
- Supervise the planning and execution of large-scale corporate volunteering initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Community Engagement team to ensure volunteer events are impactful, well-coordinated, and meet corporate expectations.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team; ensure adequate staffing and skill development across functions.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and create a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity across all team functions.
Preferred Profile
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in the development/social sector, preferably in leadership roles.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; proficiency in Kannada will be an added advantage.
- Mobility: Open to travel for work-related assignments and stakeholder engagement.
