About the Role

Our partner organization is looking for a dynamic and driven Deputy Manager Human Resources to support and strengthen HR functions, with a key focus on Talent Acquisition, Organization Development, and HR Operations. The ideal candidate should bring strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of current HR trends, and a passion for building engaging and inclusive workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and implement strategic hiring plans in consultation with the HR Head.

  • Build and expand a sustainable sourcing network and lead employer branding initiatives.
  • Coordinate with teams across the organization to assess staffing requirements and maintain an updated Recruitment Tracker.
  • Design and promote employee referral programs to maintain a steady talent pipeline.
  • Oversee recruitment postings across platforms, and share timely updates with internal teams.
  • Lead end-to-end selection processes from screening to interviews, including the use of modern assessment tools.
  • Conduct background checks and prepare related reports.
  • Lead onboarding processes including inductions, satisfaction evaluations, and briefing/de-briefing sessions.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and manage invoice processes.

2. Organization Development

  • Contribute to updates and revisions of HR policies, manuals, and handbooks.

  • Support employee relations efforts, including diversity, inclusion, compensation, and conflict resolution programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide input on learning and development strategies.
  •  Recommend and implement strategies to improve employee retention and workplace culture.
  • Drive key OD initiatives by managing data collection, workshops, planning, and implementation.
  • Design and facilitate employee engagement initiatives to foster a vibrant work environment.

3. HR Team Support

  • Support appraisal processes, inductions, workshops, and trainings.

  • Review and streamline joining documentation to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with the HR Head and wider HR team on administrative and operational tasks.

Who You Are

  • You have 1-3 years of experience in HR, with exposure to recruitment, organizational development, or generalist roles.
  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and have strong communication and coordination skills.
  • You enjoy working in dynamic, mission-driven environments.

  • Familiarity with nonprofit or development sector organizations will be an added advantage.
