This family run organization, currently in its 10th year of inception was established as a living legacy to one of India's most respected feminist leaders and practitioners, who dedicated her life to institutionalizing gender justice and workplace safety and dignity across sectors.
With a strong body of work in areas like POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), community training, and gender-based research, the organization is entering a new phase of strategic growth making this leadership hire critical.
About the Role
The Director of Program Operations will play a central role in running and shaping the organizations backend engine and programmatic roadmap. This is a senior, committed, long term and cross-cutting leadership role.
The ideal person will be a feminist in everyday life and oversee Program Monitoring and Evaluation, Fundraising, Team Management, Financial Compliance and Key Stakeholder Relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Lead program implementation, monitoring and evaluation acro ss key themes: gender-based violence, POSH, child safeguarding, feminism, youth leadership
- Manage and support a small member team including program, communications, accounts, fundraising and administration
- Contribute to fundraising, grant making and donor engagement and proposal development
- Ensure timely reporting, budgeting, and sustainability planning
- Guide organization wide communications strategy and media presence
- Represent the organization in sectoral forums and partnerships
- Build and sustain partnerships with CSOs, funders, government bodies, and networks
- Lead or co-lead community training and capacity-building sessions, especially around POSH, youth, or gender-based work
- Uphold the organisations feminist values and ground strategies in field realities
The ideal candidate will have -
- 10-15 years of experience in gender focussed work and non-profits
- Prior experience working in program leadership (monitoring and evaluation) roles
- Prior HNI/UHNI fundraising experience
- Prior experience in fundraising and key stakeholder management
- Hands-on experience in community engagement, field work and implementation
- Familiarity with gender training
- Fluency in English and Hindi
- Deep commitment to feminist values and intersectional equity
- Ability to carry others along
- Long-term commitment to the role and the mission
- Open to field travel
