About the Role
Arthan is hiring on behalf of a reputed philanthropic partner organization to onboard a Lead Scholarships. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement for the foundations flagship Scholarship Programme. This is a senior leadership role requiring a deep understanding of the social sector, strong program management skills, and a passion for creating educational opportunities for underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Strategy & Management
- Lead and manage the end-to-end application cycle including outreach, application intake, document verification, evaluation, and candidate selection.
- Design and oversee the Scholarship Programme strategy and its effective implementation.

Guide the development and execution of scholar monitoring frameworks.

Drive the disbursement process ensuring timely fund transfers to selected scholars.

Lead the design and execution of scholar and alumni engagement activities.

Collaborate with the communications team to enhance program branding and outreach.

Develop outreach strategies and partnerships to improve candidate access and diversity.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Engage with external partners such as NGOs, academic institutions, and technology providers to strengthen program impact.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner educational institutions and expert interviewers.
- Ensure onboarding and periodic training of external stakeholders as per evolving program needs.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

Track success metrics and improve programme delivery based on data insights.
- Curate development opportunities for scholars, including mentoring, volunteering, soft skills, and internships.

Ensure timely documentation and reporting of program milestones and impact.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Education
- Masters degree in a relevant discipline such as Development Studies, Education, Public Policy, or related fields.
Experience
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in the social sector, with a minimum of 5 years managing large-scale scholarship or education-focused programs.
- International exposure in program design or implementation will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects in the development sector.
