A leading nonprofit organization working at the intersection of education, gender justice, and community empowerment is looking to hire a Lead Communications. The organization has a strong feminist and rights-based approach and is recognized for its work with marginalized communities through grassroots engagement, research, and capacity building.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about equity, is a skilled communicator, and has experience driving resource mobilization for mission-driven organizations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement an annual communications calendar aligned with organizational goals.
2. Build and execute strategies to amplify programmatic impact through written, visual, and digital storytelling.
3. Craft case studies, newsletters, social media posts, and campaign content.
4. Ensure brand consistency across communication platforms.
5. Manage social media platforms, website content, and analytics.
6. Support digital fundraising and awareness campaigns.
7. Identify and map funding opportunities from institutional, philanthropic, government, and CSR sources.
8. Develop and implement stewardship plans to cultivate long-term donor relationships.
Key Requirements
- Masters degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
- 5-9 years of experience in nonprofit communications and/or fundraising, with a proven track record of writing successful grant proposals.
- Prior experience engaging with philanthropic foundations, CSR donors, or international agencies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.

Demonstrated experience in donor management, reporting, and stewardship.
- Hands-on experience with social media strategy, content development, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with diverse teams.
