We are hiring for EMpower The Emerging Markets Foundation- a global philanthropic organisation working to transform the lives of marginalised youth in emerging markets.

Role Overview:

EMpower is seeking a strategic, action-oriented Development Manager to lead fundraising initiatives in India. The role involves engaging with institutional and individual donors, managing flagship donor events, representing EMpower in external forums, and driving local donor growth in alignment with the broader Asia development strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and strengthen relationships with existing and potential donors.
2. Lead planning and execution of fundraising events, including an Annual Gala.
3. Conduct prospect research and donor mapping to grow the supporter base.
4. Represent EMpower externally at sector events, forums, and roundtables.
5. Collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and Singapore to ensure regional alignment.
6. Work with marketing and program teams to create compelling donor communications.
7. Track income, manage budgets, and ensure effective use of internal systems including CRM.

Requirements:

1. 5-10 years of experience in fundraising or business development roles.
2. Strong understanding of the Indian philanthropic landscape.
3. Excellent relationship management and public speaking skills.
4. Experience organising donor-facing events.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
6. Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a small team setup.
7. Based in Delhi with ability to travel as needed.
