At Arthan, we are partnering with a leading non-profit organization that is rapidly scaling impactful tech-enabled education interventions across India. The organization works closely with central and state governments and is known for its innovative programs in early childhood education and community engagement. With a team of mission-driven professionals and backing from reputed funders, they are launching a large-scale ECCE initiative in Meghalaya in collaboration with the Meghalaya Early Childhood Development Mission.
About the Role
As a State Lead, you will be responsible for successful planning, rollout, and management of the ECCE program across all districts of Meghalaya. This includes stakeholder engagement, team leadership, performance tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of ECCE initiatives in Meghalaya as outlined in the MoU with MECDM

Government Liaison: Build and manage strong working relationships with MECDM, district officials, and other stakeholders

Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of regional academic experts and field staff

Operational Planning: Use field insights and data analytics to create SOPs and support decision-making

Monitoring & Reporting: Ensure timely data collection and reporting on key program indicators (coverage, activation, engagement)

Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (content, tech, media, research) to localize and implement interventions

Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization in external meetings, workshops, and field reviews
Key Outcomes

Successful program launch in all districts in Meghalaya

Required Qualifications

6-8 years of experience in program management, field operations, or implementation roles (NGO or government partnerships preferred)

Prior team management experience

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Proficiency in Google Sheets, Forms, and basic data interpretation

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across Meghalaya

Excellent command of English; familiarity with Khasi/Garo/Jaintia preferred

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, mission-driven mindset
Preferred Experience

Background in education, ECCE, or public systems

Experience in multi-stakeholder projects, particularly with government engagement

Familiarity with community-based programs
