Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development & Market Leadership

  • Lead the strategy and execution roadmap for ESG & Impact Advisory business for Corporates.
  • Drive business development and revenue growth across key markets: Indonesia, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. 
  • Leverage personal networks to initiate and secure corporate partnerships and long-term sustainability mandates.
  • Develop advisory solutions integrating Orange Bond readiness, impact measurement, and ESG strategy.

2. Corporate SDG Strategy & Sustainable Finance

  • Translate corporate ESG and sustainability commitments into measurable SDG-aligned actions.
  • Design innovative financing mechanisms such as sustainability-linked loans, supplier financing programs, and outcome-based grants.
  • Prepare clients for emerging ESG and climate and sustainability reporting standards.

3. Supply Chain ESG & Orange SealTM Program

  • Conduct deep-dive supply chain diagnostics (Tier 13) to assess gender parity, GHG emissions intensity, and climate resilience.
  • Develop supplier improvement roadmaps and expedite the qualification of suppliers through the Orange SealTM certification process.
  • Align supply chain action plans with national SDG priorities and regulatory frameworks.

4. Orange BondTM Impact Assessment

  • Lead corporate clients through the full impact lifecycle of Orange BondsTM, focusing on embedding robust impact frameworks, monitoring systems, and reporting mechanisms throughout the process.  
  • Lead the impact-focused pre-issuance work by conducting in-depth ESG and gender-lens diagnostics for corporate issuers and their supply chains. This includes mapping bond proceeds to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 13 (Climate Action), national SDG roadmaps, and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Develop tailored Impact Frameworks and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) matrices aligned with Orange Bond Principles, IFC Performance Standards, and relevant green/social bond guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Innovative Finance team, which leads transaction structuring and oversees external review processes such as Second-Party Opinions (SPOs) and credit ratings, to ensure alignment between financial structuring and impact commitments.
  • Deliverables include the Orange Impact Framework, baseline data packs generated via IntelligenceTM, and investor-ready impact sections for offering materials.
  • Ensure Orange SealTM certification criteria are embedded for qualifying suppliers and value-chain partners. Validate KPI frameworks to ensure alignment with market standards such as the ASEAN Taxonomy and EU Taxonomy. Work closely with internal teams to maintain coherence between transaction design and impact strategy.
  • Deploy ValuesTM to capture and monitor real-time impact data from issuers and their supply chains. Produce annual Impact Reports and investor dashboards, and proactively flag deviations in KPIs to recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement measures.
  • Market & Policy Feedback
  • Utilize aggregated Orange BondTM impact data to advise regulators, exchanges, and policymakers on sustainable finance frameworks and taxonomy evolution. Publish thematic insights and thought leadership pieces to inform policy development and spotlight corporate leadership in advancing gender equality and climate resilience.

5. Integration of Assessment and Analytics Platforms

  • Integrate ValuesTM and IntelligenceTM into all advisory mandates to ensure robust ESG and impact analytics, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Embed strong verification and reporting systems in all client engagements to ensure transparency and accountability.

6. Team Leadership & Advisory Delivery

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of ESG and sustainability advisors.
  • Ensure exceptional client service, high-quality project delivery, and operational excellence.
  • Lead multi-sector advisory engagements across industries such as agribusiness, energy, manufacturing, consumer goods, and finance.
  • Take on leadership of the Values and Intelligence teams to integrate them into the Advisory practice.

7. Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Represent at key regional and international forums, and contribute to thought leadership in sustainable finance and ESG investing.
  • Collaborate with DFIs, regulators, financial institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders to drive systemic change and promote Orange BondTM adoption across markets.
  • Advocate for inclusive finance, gender equality, and climate action through active industry engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in ESG advisory, sustainability consulting, impact finance, or corporate sustainability strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven to run an independent business unit with prior P/L experience.
  • Proven success in building and scaling advisory businesses or consulting practices, ideally with a strong corporate client base.
  • Deep experience working with corporates and/or financial institutions in South and Southeast Asia.
  • Expertise in ESG regulation, supply chain sustainability, climate finance, blended finance, or sustainability- linked bonds.
  • Strong capital markets understanding, with a proven ability to integrate gender-lens investing and ESG principles into financial solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, client relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Masters degree in sustainability, finance, economics, public policy, or a related discipline.
