Finance Manager

Location: Preferably based in Mumbai; candidates based in Delhi will also be considered

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to manage the organisation's end-to-end accounting, compliance, and financial reporting functions. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of day-to-day financial operations and strategic financial management, including oversight of complex statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple legal entities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
• Prepare and present monthly MIS reports
• Handle vendor payments, reimbursements, billing, and collections
• Manage banking relationships and fund flows
• Administer payroll and manage employee insurance

Statutory and Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of TDS, GST, PF, PT, Gratuity, income tax returns, and MCA annual returns
• Manage compliances specific to CSR, Foundations, Trusts, FDI, and FCRA
• Coordinate statutory and tax audits end-to-end

Financial Planning and Control

• Lead annual budget forecasting and monitor cost control
• Support ESOP administration
• Review contracts from a financial and risk lens

Governance and Secretarial Support

• Support Board meetings and AGMs, including preparation of relevant financial documents and minutes coordination

Candidate Profile

• 7-8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within the development, non-profit, or impact investment sector
• Strong command of Indian statutory and regulatory frameworks - GST, TDS, income tax, MCA, FCRA, and Trust/Foundation compliances
• Hands-on experience with audit management (statutory and tax)
• Familiarity with ESOP accounting is an advantage
• CA or equivalent qualification preferred; MBA Finance considered
• High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple compliance timelines, and comfort working in a lean team environment
