Phlebotomists

Asa Healthcare Staffing is actively recruiting experienced Phlebotomists for an upcoming federal healthcare staffing contract supporting the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

We are seeking dependable, professional, and experienced phlebotomists who are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment serving our nation's veterans.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN opportunities
• Day, Evening, Night, Weekend & Holiday shifts available
• Hospital inpatient & outpatient settings
• Government facility / long-term opportunity
• Competitive pay: $23–$27/hr
• Potential overtime opportunities
• Rapid onboarding for qualified candidates

Responsibilities:

• Venipuncture and specimen collection
• Inpatient and outpatient blood draws
• Difficult sticks including geriatric and oncology patients
• Proper patient identification and specimen labeling
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in hospital settings preferred
• Must be reliable and professional
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience:

• VA or government facility experience a plus, but not required
• High-volume specimen collection
• Inpatient hospital experience
• Experience with difficult venipuncture
