About the job Accountant/Bookkeeper
Our client is looking for a Full - time Bookkeeper to join their team at their office in Bolton. The role is busy and varied, working for a reputable owner managed business.
Flexible working hours approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities of the Full-Time Bookkeeping / Accounts role
Processing accounts payable and receivable and manage supplier invoices using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and other cloud based accounting software varying upon client requirements
*Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, Amazon, ebay, shopify and petty cash
Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing journals, accruals and pre-payments
Reconciliation of debtors and creditors
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Providing help and support to the Payroll department
Supporting the smooth running of office by providing administrative support to management as requested (answering the telephone and other administrative services)
Successful Candidate For The Bookkeeping Position
You must have previous experience in a Bookkeeping / Finance role to be considered
*The ability to manage and organise their own portfolio of clients
The role requires a high level of attention to detail / a flexible approach
Experience of managing supplier invoices and payments
Strong skills with Xero and Quick Books
Solid interpersonal and communication Skills
Hardworking person who enjoys a stand-alone accounts role within a small office / team
