Job Description

We are looking for a highly creative VFX artist with knowledge of Unreal Engine 4′, VFX system, Niagara VFX and Blueprints

Preferred Requirements:

  • Solid Understanding of Particle Systems including concepts of Sprite Renderer, Ribbon Renderer and attributes like Particle Age, Mass, Velocity etc.
  • Create and optimize Particle Systems of different nature using Niagara VFX.
  • Collaborate with programmers to handle dynamic VFX in game.
  • Create custom modules as per requirement to create custom behaviour or get information from game environment using different queries like GPU collision query,
  • Debug and profile all VFX systems for performance optimisation.
  • Camera Query, GBuffer query, Audio Oscilloscope in Niagara VFX
  • Connect Niagara system with blueprints or collaborate with Programmers to do so
  • Ability to create custom flipbook textures using Embergen, Houdini, MAYA, Blender or any other technique and software of choice.
  • Good grip on Unreal Engine material system to create materials for use with sprites, meshes, Ribbons
  • Basic modelling skills and UV unwrapping

Skills & Experience

  • Hands on experience creating particle systems for video games
  • Extensive experience with the Niagara Particle Engine
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine Blueprint Graph system
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 custom materials
  • Photoshop or Substance Designer
  • VFX suite like Houdini/Embergen/MAYA/Blender
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
