Job Description:
Reporting to the Regional Director of the EI Asia-Pacific Region, or to any other person designated by them in their absence. The administrative assistant and bookkeeper is responsible of providing administrative, clerical, reporting and daily bookkeeping support. The position requires high confidentiality, attention to details and excellent organization and clear communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and efficient office file system.
  • Responsible of maintaining, reconciling and keeping accounts and cash fund for the office in accordance with Thai bookkeeping policies and procedures (data entry of invoices, credit notes, staff claims, payroll and other accounting operations, prepare bank transfers and record payments of bank statements into accounting program).
  • Use accounting software to record, store financial information and general ledger in BoB system (internal software).
  • Assisting with office events and programmes executions.
  • Provide translation and interpretation for documents from/to Thai into/from English.
  • Provide receptionist duties as required.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Skills
  • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Windows i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles in general
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively meet deadlines and to perform several tasks at once
  • Skilled in collaborating with teammates and external partners in a multicultural environment, as well as take initiatives.
Working Hours
  • Full-time position.
  • Normal office hours apply from Monday to Friday, though some flexibility is desirable in recognition of the international nature of the organization. Work that falls outside normal hours during the week, and at the weekend may be expected. There may be a requirement to travel to attend meetings and functions.
Qualifications
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in a not-for-profit, trade union environment or similar.
  • Ability to work fluently in both written and spoken English and Thai. Knowledge of any additional language would be considered as an asset.
