About the Role:

We are seeking a Patient Accounts Representative with a strong background in U.S. healthcare insurance and exceptional communication skills. This role is ideal for someone who is knowledgeable about insurance billing and genuinely enjoys helping patients navigate the complexities of healthcare coverage and payments.

You will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, helping them understand their insurance coverage, answer billing questions, and coordinate payments. This position is a blend of medical billing, customer service, accounts receivable, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with patients over the phone to review insurance coverage and payment responsibilities
• Explain billing details, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket costs
• Respond to patient questions regarding statements and claims
• Coordinate and process payments or set up payment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and payment activity
• Support general administrative and accounts receivable functions

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare insurance and medical billing terminology
• Experience working in a similar role involving patient communication and billing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; polished, professional phone demeanor
• Familiarity with EHR systems, insurance portals, and billing software is a plus
