Our client is a leading Saudi Arabia-based organization operating in the industrial solutions and building technologies sector, with supply chain activities supporting complex projects, services, procurement, inventory, and operational performance. The organization is strengthening its supply chain analytics capability to improve data visibility, KPI governance, executive reporting, and data-driven decision-making across business functions.
About the Role
The Supply Chain Data Analyst will support the client's supply chain excellence function by extracting, transforming, and analyzing ERP and operational data; developing Power BI dashboards and Excel models; and converting supply chain data into actionable business insights. This is a remote role based in Pakistan, preferably Karachi, managed administratively by SCT in Pakistan while functionally reporting to the client. The role requires strong SAP S/4HANA data understanding, Power BI capability, SQL, Python, Excel/Power Query, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to operational and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and analyze supply chain data from SAP S/4HANA and related systems using backend tables, ABAP queries, HANA views, Power Query, SQL, and automated Python pipelines.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and Excel-based analytical models to track Supply Chain Excellence KPIs and business performance indicators.
- Support ad-hoc, scenario, and financial analysis for supply chain, procurement, inventory, supplier performance, and cost-related business questions.
- Develop SQL queries, Python automation scripts, and ETL pipelines to replace manual and Excel-heavy reporting processes with scalable reporting workflows.
- Prepare demand forecasting data support, including data extraction, cleansing, model-ready datasets, analysis packs, and reporting outputs.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of inventory, supplier, procurement, cost, and process inefficiencies, translating findings into practical and business-focused recommendations.
- Standardize KPI definitions, reporting logic, data sources, and governance practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and credibility of reporting outputs.
- Identify and help resolve upstream SAP data quality issues by coordinating with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and relevant business teams.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, summaries, and presentations that simplify complex data and support senior management decision-making.
- Maintain proper documentation for data logic, assumptions, data models, reporting workflows, and recurring analytical outputs.
- Manage multiple analytical deliverables independently in a remote, fast-paced, and cross-functional working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, ERP reporting, supply chain analytics, or related roles within ERP-driven environments.
- Hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA transactional data for supply chain, procurement, inventory, and finance-related reporting use cases.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering Power BI dashboards for operational users, management teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience building SQL- or Python-based data pipelines, automation routines, or reporting workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Good understanding of supply chain performance, procurement, inventory, supplier management, operational KPIs, and cross-functional business processes.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently with strong ownership, prioritization, and follow-through.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- SAP S/4HANA: Hands-on experience extracting and working with transactional data directly from SAP S/4HANA backend tables for reporting and analytics.
- Power BI: Strong proficiency in DAX, calculated columns, measures, time intelligence, filter context, data modelling, star schema, drill-through, bookmarks, filters, and Power BI Service publishing.
- SQL: Strong command of T-SQL or HANA SQL, including complex JOINs, window functions, CTEs, subqueries, and performance-aware query writing for large transactional databases.
- Python: Working knowledge of pandas, NumPy, and openpyxl for data wrangling and automation; familiarity with SQLAlchemy or pyodbc for database connectivity; basic exposure to Matplotlib or Seaborn for exploratory analysis.
- Excel & Power Query: Advanced Excel skills including INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, array formulae, Power Pivot, and dynamic dashboards; Power Query proficiency for building reusable ETL pipelines and connecting multiple data sources.
- Data Visualization: Strong data storytelling capability, with the ability to choose the right chart type, simplify complex datasets, and design clean dashboards for non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Quality & Governance: Ability to reconcile data, validate reports, standardize definitions, document logic, and ensure consistency across recurring supply chain performance reporting.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, data warehouse modelling, star/snowflake schemas, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other cloud ETL tools.
- Experience with demand forecasting, statistical models such as regression, ARIMA, or Prophet, and advanced BI platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Qlik Sense.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft PL-300, SAP certifications, Google Data Analytics, or equivalent analytics and BI credentials.
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade BI, supply chain analytics, automation, or data engineering initiatives.
