This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who can translate product capability into a working client solution.

Role Purpose

The Implementation Consultant will support end-to-end client implementation through requirements gathering, process documentation, configuration, data readiness, user acceptance testing, training, go-live coordination, and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Planning & Client Onboarding

  • Support client pilot and implementation planning, including timelines, trackers, dependencies, and readiness checklists.
  • Collect process information, user details, supplier data, approval structures, and configuration inputs.
  • Coordinate with internal and client stakeholders to ensure timely completion of implementation activities.
  • Escalate risks, delays, missing inputs, adoption concerns, and unresolved issues to the Product Manager or Implementation Lead.

Requirements Gathering & Process Mapping

  • Document procurement workflows, RFQ processes, approval flows, supplier communication practices, and reporting needs.
  • Translate client discussions into requirement notes, workflow maps, configuration inputs, test scenarios, and change requests.
  • Identify process gaps, exceptions, and areas where system configuration or product clarification is required.

System Configuration & Data Readiness

  • Configure users, roles, workflows, categories, templates, approval rules, notifications, and supplier records where applicable.
  • Support data collection and validation for suppliers, categories, contacts, approval matrices, sample RFQs, and pilot transactions.
  • Maintain configuration logs, implementation trackers, issue registers, and related documentation.

Testing, UAT & Go-Live Support

  • Prepare and execute test cases for intake, RFQ creation, supplier selection, approvals, response capture, comparison, dashboards, and notifications.
  • Support UAT by coordinating test scripts, capturing feedback, logging defects, validating fixes, and confirming closure with users.
  • Assist in go-live preparation, user readiness checks, and post-go-live stabilization.

Training, Adoption & Support

  • Prepare user guides, quick reference notes, FAQs, SOP inputs, and training material for buyers, approvers, and administrators.
  • Conduct or support user training sessions and system walkthroughs.
  • Provide first-level functional support, investigate user questions, reproduce issues, and coordinate resolution with product, QA, and technical teams.
  • Encourage user adoption by helping stakeholders understand the agreed operating workflow.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in software implementation, business analysis, ERP support, SaaS onboarding, procurement systems, or digital transformation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
  • Ability to understand business processes and convert them into clear requirements, workflows, configuration inputs, test cases, and user documentation.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders, clients, users, product teams, developers, QA teams, or support teams in a structured delivery environment.
  • Strong written and spoken English with the ability to document requirements, prepare updates, and communicate professionally.

Required Skills

  • Implementation planning, configuration, testing, UAT, training, go-live, and stabilization support.
  • Business process mapping and documentation.
  • System configuration for users, roles, templates, workflows, approvals, supplier data, and RFQ settings.
  • Client communication and stakeholder coordination.
  • Test case preparation, UAT support, defect tracking, and validation of fixes.
  • Preparation of user guides, training notes, FAQs, and support documentation.
  • Strong documentation discipline, including trackers, meeting notes, issue logs, change requests, and handover documents.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with SaaS implementation, onboarding, UAT coordination, user training, support, ticketing tools, or release support.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, dashboard requirements, reporting needs, and user access management.
  • Understanding of email or WhatsApp-enabled workflows, supplier communication, document submissions, and user adoption challenges.

Behavioral Expectations

  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for assigned implementation tasks.
  • Structured working style with organized trackers, notes, requirements, test cases, and configuration records.
  • Professional and patient communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving attitude with the ability to investigate issues, ask the right questions, reproduce problems, and coordinate practical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration with product, QA, engineering, implementation, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced product and client implementation environment.

Key Deliverables in the First 90 Days

  • Assist in validating workflows for intake, RFQ creation, supplier selection, approvals, quote capture, comparison, reporting, and administration.

What Success Looks Like
