About the Role

Supply Chain Talks is seeking a Business Development Executive based in Karachi to support market development activities for its digital manufacturing solutions portfolio in Pakistan. The selected candidate will be responsible for exploring the local market, identifying prospective clients, introducing relevant solutions to target organizations, and generating qualified leads and business opportunities.

This role is best suited for a commercially driven professional with strong communication skills, a proactive approach to lead generation, and an interest in technology-led solutions for the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development
    • Identify, map, and research potential customers across the manufacturing sector in Pakistan.
    • Develop a strong understanding of target industries, key accounts, and relevant decision-makers.
    • Create awareness in the market regarding SCTs digital manufacturing solution offerings.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects and business opportunities.
  • Lead Generation & Business Prospecting
    • Generate leads through direct outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry databases, and other business development channels.
    • Schedule introductory meetings, discovery calls, and follow-up discussions with prospective clients.
    • Engage with plant leadership, operations teams, supply chain stakeholders, engineering teams, and senior management to understand business requirements.
    • Support the conversion of initial interest into qualified commercial opportunities.
  • Solution Introduction & Commercial Support
    • Present the value proposition of digital manufacturing solutions in a clear and business-oriented manner.
    • Understand customer challenges and align suitable solution areas with identified needs.
    • Coordinate internally for demos, presentations, commercial discussions, and proposal development.
    • Assist in preparing presentations, capability documents, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Pipeline Management & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
    • Track progress of prospects from initial outreach to qualification stage.
    • Share regular market updates, pipeline reports, and business development insights with management.
    • Contribute market intelligence and competitor feedback to strengthen go-to-market strategy.

Experience & Competencies

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, enterprise technology, automation, ERP, SaaS, or related solution sales will be preferred.
  • Experience engaging with manufacturing companies in Pakistan will be considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial technology, or digital transformation environments.
  • Understanding of factory operations, production, quality, maintenance, or plant-level business processes.
  • Ability to engage professionally with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
