Hotel General Manager | Luxury Boutique Hotel Group

We are partnering with Songtsam, one of China's leading high-end cultural hospitality brands, to search for a Hotel General Manager for its luxury property in Kunming, China.

Founded by Tibetan entrepreneur Baima Duoji, Songtsam operates a collection of premium boutique hotels and travel experiences across Yunnan and Tibet, combining luxury hospitality with Tibetan cultural immersion. The group is recognized for its integrated hotel + travel model, strong brand loyalty, and high-end experiential positioning.

Contract: 3-year contract

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the overall hotel strategy and daily operations

* Drive commercial performance, guest satisfaction, and brand reputation

* Oversee market expansion, revenue growth, and service excellence initiatives

* Build and lead high-performing management teams

* Manage budgeting, operational efficiency, and cost optimization

* Ensure alignment with luxury hospitality standards and brand philosophy

* Support pre-opening and operational enhancement initiatives where required

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or above in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines

* Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in luxury hotels or international hospitality groups

* Strong understanding of full-cycle hotel operations

* Proven experience in hotel pre-opening projects

* Strong leadership, commercial awareness, and operational decision-making capabilities

* International luxury boutique hotel or global chain experience preferred

* Candidates must be:

* Nepalese or Bhutanese nationals; OR

* Western expatriates with substantial General Manager experience in Nepal or Bhutan luxury hotels

Preferred:

* Candidates who appreciate cultural hospitality and experiential luxury concepts

* Familiarity with boutique resort operations and destination-driven hospitality
