We are partnering with a fast-growing, Asia-based EDA software company with strong customer adoption across China, Taiwan, and Korea. As part of its North America expansion, the company is seeking a fractional / part-time Regional Sales Director to lead U.S. commercial sales activities.

This is a high-impact, senior-level consulting role ideal for experienced EDA sales leaders who prefer flexible or portfolio-based work.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Pipeline Ownership

  • Own and manage the full North America sales cycle from qualification to contract close

  • Conduct discovery calls, assess customer needs, and qualify opportunities

  • Maintain CRM accuracy, pipeline visibility, and sales forecasting

Evaluation & Technical Coordination

  • Partner with local FAE/AE to drive customer evaluations and demos

  • Coordinate closely with Asia-based AE and engineering teams

  • Ensure smooth evaluation execution, issue triage, and ongoing customer communication

Commercial Proposal & Negotiation

  • Develop pricing proposals, multi-seat and multi-year license structures

  • Lead negotiations with procurement, legal, and technical stakeholders

  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic deals and key accounts

Process & Communication

  • Act as the primary business-facing contact for North American customers

  • Drive cross-time-zone coordination between customers and Asia teams

  • Build repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and evaluation success metrics

Marketing & Business Support

  • Support webinars, workshops, and industry events (e.g. DAC, DVCon)

  • Provide customer and market feedback to influence product strategy

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales or business development experience in EDA, semiconductor design tools, IP licensing, or verification/implementation software

  • Background at major EDA vendors or relevant startups strongly preferred

  • Solid understanding of digital implementation, ECO flows, SoC design methodologies, or verification flows

  • Proven success managing complex, technical enterprise sales cycles

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Comfortable working across time zones with Asia-based teams

  • Experience in fractional / part-time / consulting engagements is a plus

  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency highly preferred

Engagement & Compensation

  • Part-time / fractional consultant role (hours flexible based on pipeline)

  • Remote with occasional travel for customers or industry events

  • Compensation structure includes:

    • Monthly retainer

    • Sales commission on new license revenue

    • Optional evaluation-to-purchase success bonus
