This company is a leading financial technology firm specializing in digital transformation, fraud prevention, and process automation. It serves a diverse range of enterprise clients in sectors including banking, financial services, payments, consumer goods, and e-commerce. With a strong presence in multiple global markets across SEA, APAC, and US, the company has built a robust client base.

Our client is looking for an eloquent lawyer experienced in managing corporate legal work, government relations, data privacy and product development advisory in a tech-savvy bank or financial services company.

Your primary role will be assisting the Regional Legal Head, in managing all general legal work and advisory for the Philippine entity business. This will be a strategic legal role that will be pivotal in the growth initiatives of the company.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with clients, partners, vendors, and service providers.
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), assist with due diligence, and review, draft, and negotiate M&A documents.
• Government Relations - provide guidance to the leadership team on licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Offer practical and commercial advice on product, privacy, and data issues.
• Assist in refining company systems and processes.

Requirements

• Lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) from a combination of in-house and private practice, particularly in Banking & Financial Services industry.
• Industry experience in technology, financial services, banking, payments, or fintech.
• Experience in technology-related legal matters, with an interest in data products, AI products, and the latest legal trends in technology.
• Ability to independently handle commercial contract drafting and negotiations.
• Enthusiastic about working in a start-up environment and contributing to positive changes in a fast-paced, dynamic company culture.
