Job Brief

Our client, a leading global provider of digital payment solutions, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven APAC Sales Director - FinTech and Telco to spearhead sales and business development initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This strategic role is critical in driving revenue growth, developing strong client relationships, and executing a robust regional sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with deep expertise in the APAC market and a strong network within the telecommunications and digital services ecosystem.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with global objectives to drive revenue and market expansion.
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and customer needs to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team across APAC, setting clear KPIs and ensuring accountability.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long-term business success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
  • Continuously track and optimize sales performance, leveraging data insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior sales experience, including 5+ years managing APAC sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of APAC markets, business cultures, and customer behaviors.
  • Experience in telecommunications, fintech, or digital payments, with a proven network across telcos, e-wallet providers, superapps, and money transfer operators.
  • Ability to engage and negotiate with C-level executives to drive complex deals and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify market opportunities and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau is a plus. 
  • Willingness to travel within the APAC region.
