Job Brief

We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead the successful execution of technical projects through strong collaboration, structured delivery management, and agile leadership.

The Delivery Manager ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements and technical standards. This role combines SCRUM Master responsibilities with end-to-end project management, coordinating across multiple teams including Product Owners, Service Designers, Production Engineering, Shared Services, ITG, and ISD to deliver high-quality, compliant, and impactful banking solutions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills, capable of driving delivery in both agile and traditional (waterfall) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring adherence to SCRUM principles and practices as a SCRUM Master.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, lead daily stand-ups, manage backlogs, and promote agile methodologies.
• Work closely with Product Owners, project teams, and cross-functional partners to establish realistic timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
• Support the Product Owner in prioritizing projects as part of the business planning and demand management cycle.
• Provide weekly updates on the project Book of Work, and re-scope or adjust project plans when necessary.
• Assign and monitor project tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
• Manage BAU requests, escalations, and inter-departmental dependencies to keep project progress on track.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to review requirements, address delivery blockers, and align expectations.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
• Ensure that all delivery practices comply with IT Governance frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Domain Leads and Business Systems teams to continuously improve delivery processes and integration with bank systems.
• Maintain professional and technical expertise through continuous learning and participation in relevant workshops and industry networks.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of full-time experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Manager, preferably in banking, financial services, or insurance.
• Proven track record managing medium to large-scale or complex IT projects, ideally within regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project management tools.
• Skilled in both Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM delivery frameworks; project management certification (PMP, SCRUM, or PRINCE2) preferred.
• Proficient in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement to support successful project adoption.
• Ability to anticipate risks related to security, compliance, and data privacy, and design appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.
• Self-starter with a high level of initiative, capable of working independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Analytical thinker and fast learner who can identify multiple solutions and determine the most effective course of action.
