Job Brief

A prestigious foreign bank is seeking an accomplished Relationship Manager (VPSVP level) to lead client engagement and portfolio growth within its Corporate Banking / Large Corporates segment. This role requires a dynamic banker with deep experience in client relationship management, business origination, and credit structuring for major Philippine conglomerates and large corporates.

The Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of key corporate clients by delivering holistic banking solutions and maintaining strong, long-term partnerships. This includes originating new business opportunities, structuring credit facilities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized financial strategies that align with the clients growth and funding requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic client coverage plan for large corporate clients, identifying new business opportunities and deepening existing relationships across multiple sectors.
  • Act as the primary relationship lead for assigned clients, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of the banks full suite of products and services including loans, treasury, trade finance, and cash management.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis, evaluate client risk profiles, and prepare well-structured credit proposals and recommendations for senior management approval.
  • Monitor the financial performance and credit standing of clients to proactively manage portfolio quality and mitigate potential risks.
  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling, solution-based selling, and proactive identification of client needs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Credit, Risk, Product, and Operations teams to ensure timely execution of transactions and superior client servicing.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and value-driven relationship management.
  • Stay informed of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory updates to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks within the client base.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Masters degree is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Relationship Manager handling large corporate or conglomerate accounts in a reputable local or foreign bank.
  • Strong background in client management, credit analysis, and financial structuring for complex corporate relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate banking products and services, including credit, trade, treasury, and cash management solutions.
  • Proven track record in achieving business growth, managing portfolio risks, and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
