Job Brief

We are seeking a Product Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative digital products that keep the bank at the forefront of technology.

This role requires a strong technical leader with hands-on expertise across the full technology stack from database scripts, APIs, and web applications to mobile development. The ideal candidate is passionate about software engineering, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality solutions that elevate customer and employee experiences.

As a Product Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of developers, collaborate with business stakeholders, and ensure best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies are consistently applied to deliver scalable, reliable, and modern banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and unit testing of product enhancements following best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute across the technology stack including database scripting, API development, web, and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define designs, timelines, scope, risks, and dependencies.
• Apply Scrum and agile methodologies to ensure continuous and iterative delivery of software upgrades that enhance user experience.
• Identify and address technical debt while designing sustainable long-term solutions.
• Serve as a change agent by introducing modern engineering practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and train team members on the latest technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate in developing enterprise standards and aligning technical implementations with architectural direction.
• Test and validate deliverables prior to SIT and UAT handover to ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, providing technical leadership and decision-making guidance to the team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to guide engineering teams in agile environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
