Role Summary

Lead and manage the accounts team to ensure accurate, timely financial operations. Oversee all accounting functions, mentor team members, enforce controls, and drive process improvements to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day today accounting operations: ledger entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management

  • Review and approve financial documents, invoices, and vendor payments

  • Ensure month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities are completed on schedule

  • Maintain accuracy and compliance in accounting records, policies, and internal controls

  • Generate financial and MIS reports; monitor KPIs such as accuracy, turnaround time, aging, error rates

  • Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes

  • Train, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance reviews

  • Coordinate with other departments (finance, operations, management) to resolve accounting issues and support audits

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CA / CPA / CMA / ICWA is a plus)

  • Several years (e.g. 36 years) of accounting experience, with at least some in a supervisory or lead role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, GST / tax rules (as applicable)

  • Proficient with accounting software / ERP systems & MS Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
