Title: Tax Supervisor
Location: Alpharetta, GA or Gainesville, GA
Compensation: $105,000 – $130,000 (DOE)
Position Overview
A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Supervisor to support the delivery of high-quality tax services across a diverse client portfolio. This role will oversee tax engagements from preparation through final review while serving as a key resource to staff and clients.
The position offers strong exposure to nonprofit organizations and trust & estate taxation, making it ideal for a tax professional seeking to deepen technical expertise while taking on leadership responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review tax returns for nonprofit entities, individuals, partnerships, corporations, and fiduciaries
- Coordinate and oversee multiple client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on schedule
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on compliance and planning matters
- Support client service initiatives, including planning discussions and tax strategy recommendations

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
- Partner with firm leadership to improve processes and identify opportunities for growth
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline (Master's in Taxation preferred)

CPA license strongly preferred

At least 4+ years of public accounting experience focused on tax

Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations

Exposure to nonprofit, trust, or estate taxation is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly

Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (desired)
