AI Integration Developer (OpenAI + AWS)

Role Summary

A technical consultant or developer who can finalize an AWS-based AI project that uses ChatGPT (OpenAI API) to read handwritten forms (images), extract the text, and convert it into a structured JSON output, which will then be integrated into a NetSuite workflow.

What Youll Do

• Finalize an existing AI project that converts handwritten forms into structured JSON data.
• Work with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3) and OpenAIs ChatGPT API for image captioning and data extraction.
• Optimize and deploy the remaining modules to ensure smooth end-to-end processing.
• Collaborate with the project owner and outgoing consultant for a short handover.
• Ensure the output JSON is properly integrated into the target system (e.g., NetSuite or related backend).

What Youll Bring

• Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, IAM).
• Proficiency in Python or Node.js for API integration and automation.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs (text or image-to-text processing).
• Solid understanding of JSON structuring and data mapping.
• Ability to work independently on a fast-moving, short-term engagement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OCR tools or handwriting recognition.
• Familiarity with integrating AI pipelines to ERP or business systems (e.g., NetSuite).

Nature of Engagement

• Part-time: 10-20 hours per week.
• Project-based (short-term): Focused on completing an existing, partially built system.
• Time zone: Must be willing to work with partial overlap in Eastern Time hours for collaboration and handover.

**Independent role with limited but essential collaboration for knowledge transfer and final delivery.
