Job Purpose:
Within the CSR Kanbauk Program, job holder is responsible for overall Community Development & Education Programs under the supervision of Kanbauk Program Leader (KPL) such as:
To reside at Pipeline Centre and visits regularly to 33 project villages, for implementing efficient stakeholders engagement, Community Development project, Education Development projects etc while leading the Community Development team and working hand in hand with Village communication Committees and authorities of the project villages. To be an ambassador between company operations team, communities and local authorities.
Promote access to knowledge and skills
- Build capacities of local communities, enabling to carry out their own development projects
- Define training curriculum (Project Management, Team Management, Critical Thinking,) and methodology
- Give training to communities, capacity building on skills already existing within the community
- Receive proposals from villagers and assist them in planning according to their needs and ensure projects are dealt in sustainable manners
- Development of Youths
- To propose / design vocational trainings (Proposal, announcement, RFP process, follow up, reports, etc) adapted to the current needs of local market & youths
- To propose new idea for engagement with youths (events, competitions, challenges)
- Supervise education program
- Liaise with govt. school teachers and build up their capacities
- Ensure students are facilitated with adequate learning environments & facilities
- Supervise Agri Vet training programs including vulnerable families support, environmental conservation & rabies awareness.
- Raise awareness of communities on life skills by conducting edutainment programs
- Build up capacity of locally recruited staff for their career development and CSR programs sustainability
Promote a participative approach for all CSR projects
- Develop participative tools to assess communities satisfaction and projects impacts
- Provide training to CSR staff to get them familiar with participatory and community-based approaches and roll out to their community partners
- Organize meetings with communities regarding Infrastructure projects in villages, in coordination with GS team
- Ensure good implementation of Infra projects and ensure proper tasks sharing with community before launching an Infra work
Stakeholders engagement; build a high level of trust and understanding
- Plan for efficient engagements with all level of stakeholders as per Company stakeholders mapping and engagement plan
- To liaise between operations team, MOGE rep, community, local authorities to ensure smooth, trusted and transparent interactionn
- Ensure Community info sharing meetings are organized on regular basic
- Organize VCC selections and arrange necessary trainings to enhance team performances
- Monitor Grievances & HR issues in villages and be accessible as CLOs in case of needs
Financial Management
- Submit yearly budget proposal to KPL and CSR Manager.
- To keep good monitoring system on budget and work with KPL and budget controller.
- Submit timely request-for-payment (RFP) and purchasing request (PR) for project activities.
- Manage cash effectively and records to be auditable at all time
- Following Company compliance procedures strictly such as DDQ, Warning Flap, Eregister, etc., in dealing with the other stakeholders.
Team Management
- Assign the project villages, duties and responsibilities to team members
- Monitor the activities of team and approve their Monthly Activity Sheet (MAS)\ accordingly
- Provide support and advice to your local team & VCCs to ensure they are companys local ambassadors
Supervision and Monitoring
- Prepare and submit yearly work plan to KPL and CSR
- Organize weekly team meetings and ensure meeting records / reports are issued.
- Prepare and submit reports to KPL weekly, monthly and annual basic.
- Conduct the supervision visits to project villages and activities regularly.
- Proper recording and reporting of special reports, yearly data.
