EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT:

  • Medical doctor with Valid SAMA, having public health training or experience will be preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical/hospital management (or) operation of the mini lab attached clinic.
  • Taste for field work.
  • Capacity of dialogue with local communities.
  • Capacity to communicate and collaborate with DOH, INGOs and NGOs.
  • Capacity to share and transfer competences.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Computer skills esp. with Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.

WORK SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Static clinic

  • Implement and provide appropriate diagnostic and medical management for the communities via the static clinic in rotational
    visits.
  • Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage the patients in line with and according to protocols/ guidelines.
  • Provide the proper outpatient consultations, examination, and prescribing of the necessary treatment.
  • Identify and facilitate the patients in need of referral for further appropriate management.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of all instruments, as related to the overall hygiene of the medical equipment.
  • Supervise clinic staff and pharmacy management to ensure a continuous and quality supply chain for the clinic.
  • Organize ongoing training of the medical/ paramedical multidisciplinary team to optimize the quality of care.
  • Ensure to keep the PH store clean and tidy, and proper stock management
  • Be accountable for cash payment between the static clinic and the minilab on lab referral cases
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the static clinic's daily activities for the community in the region.

Primary Healthcare (PHC) services

  • Implement and provide appropriate medical management for the populations in the project villages via mobile clinics in rotational visits.
  • Ensure all the medical services and treatments provided are in line with and according to protocols/ guidelines.
  • Encourage regular follow-up of patients who are suffering from chronic diseases and others as required.
  • Participate actively in emergency medical response for the victims affected by Disasters, if necessary.
  • Supervise Healthcare assistants(HCAs) in clinic management and ensure a continuous and quality supply chain of medicines for mobile clinics.

Non-communicable Diseases (NCD) Project

  • Reduction of the prevalence of modifiable risk factors for major NCD and complications of Diabetes and Hypertension.
  • Organize the NCD clinics integrated into PHC mobile clinics and provide treatments for NCD patients in project villages.
  • Medical management of NCD patients according to the updated guidelines.

Best Motherhood (BMH) project

  • Implement and manage Best Motherhood (BMH) activities for the populations in the targeted villages. 
  • ANC (Ante-Natal Care) and PNC (Post-Natal Care).
  • Detection and referral of high-risk pregnancies.
  • Health education for both mothers and under-five-year children

Health promotion activities

  • Conduct the health education activities to improve the health knowledge and attitude of the community.
  • Participate in developing IEC materials for health promotion activities.
  • Ensure conducting the Mini exhibitions about NCD, Drug abuse awareness, Healthy Lifestyle, and Nutrition in project villages.
  • Conduct SSHE awareness training to the community such as drug abuse awareness, sexual reproductive health (SRH),
    basic first aid, covid, etc.
  • Organize and ensure disseminating and providing health knowledge through a digital platform.

Reporting and Monitoring

  • Prepare weekly reports / monthly reports / other special reports upon availability.
  • Enter daily data and analyze them in coordination with the PH Supervisor
  • Monitoring and supervising the clinic staff and healthcare assistant activities.
  • Attend the weekly PH team meeting and CSR meetings.

Community mobilization

  • Contribute to the promotive health campaigns in project villages with the mother PH team.
  • Contribute to the mass campaign of world commemorative days such as World Diabetes Day, and World Hypertension Day.
  • Contribute to other CSR-related activities for the community.
  • Assist the PH-SPV in organizing the health staff gathering event.

Communication & Coordination

  • Participate the familiarization of Pipeline Centre (PLC) clinic with PLC doctor.
  • Participate in and contribute to the community social activities such as traditional occasions, wedding ceremonies, religious affairs.
  • Participate in meetings and activities conducted by CSR and PLC.
  • Contribute to Yadana newsletter, photo magazine and annual report.
  • Coordinate with mini-lab for referral of investigations and monthly expenditure clearances.
  • Co-ordinate, collaborate and co-operate with local government health staff including Station Medical Officers (SMOs) and
    Township Medical Officer (TMO).
  • Deal and co-ordinate with local authority, Village Communication Committee (VCC), VHVs, community-based organizations (CBOs), International NGOs for project activities and other promotive health activities of local community.
  • Build and maintain the relationship with new health-related-stakeholders and health service providers.

General

  • Assist the PLC medivac team in case of mass casualties.
