LOCATION: YANGON, MYANMAR
STATUS: 28/28 Rotational

Job Purpose
Electrical Technician guarantees a safe and reliable operation of the offshore installations by keeping in a good working conditions the power generation, electrical distribution (main, emergency and U.P.S), plus HVAC equipment. The job holder repairs, services, tests, and maintains electrical equipment installed on the various platforms of the Client Gas Field facilities (Gas production: 800 MMSCF/day). He/She services and maintains the power generation systems in conjunction with the mechanical, instrument and production personnel, enabling HV & LV as per the UTEC. 18510.
Experience & Qualifications
- Engineering degree from Universities/Professional Institutes (Electrical/Electronics).
- Experience in Oil/Gas field maintenance, refinery, chemical plant/power generation by gas turbine, diesel generator.
- Knowledge of H.V.& L.V main & emergency power supply & distribution network
- Good computer skills.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
Key Accountabilities (Onshore)
- To tune up the power control in close conjunction with mechanical, instrument and operation personnel.
- To ensure that electrical standards, good engineering practices, methods are adhered to. To select the correct tools and control equipment and use them properly for current and specific jobs.
- To take the necessary actions to meet the safe working standard, following company safety regulations.
- To participate to the safety drills as per the site arrangement.
- For any intervention by a contractor, to make sure, the personnel have the safety competence and electrical enabling on electrical or non-electrical equipment, as per the UTEC18510 rules.
- To respect the environment by using the recommended fluids for the transformers insulation/ cooling and the HVAC refill.
- To inform and report to the Sr. Supervisor the needs of spare parts, consumables, oils, grease, tools, etc. to perform all electrical maintenance tasks efficiently.
- To supervise and perform the lock-off and electrical isolation of the electrical equipment.
- To perform the maintenance and troubleshooting of the A.C. generators, including the controls.
- To maintain a high standard relationship with the other trades, to obtain the highest cooperation in the field operations
Safety, Security, Health and Environment, and Compliance:
- To take the necessary actions to meet the safe working standard everywhere (not limited to the instrument trade usual practice).
- To follow and apply Yadana Asset SSHE rules and good practices including permit to work procedures. To dispose properly all the wastes generated by the instrument team. Promotes accurate reporting and feedback, involves, and motivates all personnel on Near-misses safety anomaly and incidents reporting, exemplarities SSHE behavior and compliance.
