LOCATION: YANGON, MYANMAR

STATUS: 28/28 Rotational 

START DATE: 20-July-2025

Job Purpose

Instrument Technician (Offshore) under the supervision of Instrument Supervisor is in charge to maintain a safe and good operating conditions, the offshore site instrumentation as per a scheduled assignment. The job holder repairs, services, tests, maintains, conventional Instrumentation of equipment installed on the various plants of Client Project Facilities. He/She guarantees the reliability of the E.S.D. & fire & gas system. He/She provides technical data to the  Supervisor to build-up the maintenance indicators as per Company standards.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from universities, professional institutes, government technical institute (Electronics/
    Mechatronics).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar position, Oil/Gas field exploitation, refinery and chemical plant,
    commissioning, start-up.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.


Key Accountabilities (Offshore)

  • To guarantee a safe operation of the offshore installations by keeping in a good working conditions and the sites
    equipment.
  • To ensure permanent updating of his skill through the conditions of the equipment to maintain at the best possible
    cost and high spirit with the operation personnel.
  • To perform the preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and the troubleshooting of the wells, process,
    utilities, and control center.
  • To be able to check, test, and to troubleshoot the E.S.D. systems and fire & gas systems (including programmable
    logic controllers).
  • To follow the intervention of construction /modification team on the existing installations.
  • To keep in a good shape and tidiness the premises, tools, personal or at common disposal verification/ control
    equipment, to carry out properly the instrumentation duty.
  • To ensure that engineering standards, practices, and methods are adhered to. To select the correct tools and properly use verification controllers for routine and specific jobs.
  • To prepare and to request the updating of the instrument technical documents.
  • To take the necessary actions to meet the safe working standard everywhere (not limited to the instrument trade usual practice).
  • To participate the safety drills as per the site arrangement.
  • For a system (or part of), able to detect abnormal operating condition and report.
  • To participate to the preparation of the emergency or instrumentation procedures (cards failure, bypass, etc.).
  • To follow the new or modified procedure and instruction.
  • To request the necessary training actions when required.
    To participate as an active member to the site safety committees.
  • To provide valuable information for the reporting and maintenance follow-up.
  • To follow, monitor and report the results of new equipment and material on test at site.
  • To inform and to report to the Senior Supervisor requirement of spare parts, materials, and tools, to ensure the continuous operation of the plant. To issue material requisitions, if required.
  • To write work reports.
  • To propose amendments to the preventive maintenance plan.
  • To train new technicians for good understanding and effective troubleshooting of instrumentation as well as for being
    able to work independently.
  • May be assigned as a member of the Emergency Response Team in the function of Event Logger.

Ensure that all activities are carried out in full compliance with Company SSHE rules, regulations, and company procedures. Observe and report anomalies on a regular basis. Respect of the Environment on and around the installations, respect of Local Rules/Regulations, Company Regulations, and ISO 14001. To be aware and report near misses.
