EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in commissioning, start-up and maintenance offshore Oil & Gas preferred.
  • Specific hands-on experience in production/separation, de-sanding, JT dew point, MEG regeneration and reclamation,
    gas export compression, produced water treatment & condensate disposal, HP/LP flare system, open/closed drain system, metering, fire & gas detection and utility systems.
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills and culturally aware.
  • Good Knowledge of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Extensive knowledge of DCS/ICS systems and an experienced DCS operator conversant with offshore automated
    control systems and gas processing equipment.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Oil & Gas Process Discipline qualification required.
  • Experience in Training of national labor both through CBTA & OJT is an advantage.
  • Team leadership and high safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITY: 

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, start-up / shutdown of Production/Separation System, De-sanding
    System, JT Dew Point System, MEG Regeneration and Reclamation System, Gas Export Compression System, Produced Water Treatment & Condensate Disposal System, HP/LP Flare System, Open/Closed Drain System, Fire &Deluge System, Metering System, CCR Operation, Fire and Gas Detection System / Utility Systems etc. under the supervision of the Shift and Production Supervisors.
  • Operates the Production system and coordinates status of the system and production.
  • Monitoring the correct functioning activities of plant equipment and instrumentation accurately. 
  • Re-initiate all systems and associated equipment's following a unit trip or plant ESD.
  • Carry out performance and compliance testing of wells, diagnosis and optimization of production systems.
  • Recognizing the plant problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Make adjustments to production streams and well streams under direction of Production Supervisor, optimize production as instructed.
  • Control process operating system and safety procedures. 
  • Ensuring safe, accident and trouble-free Plant Operations.
  • Operate and control DCS system; Process and Wells control equipment and panel, and that the plant is safely operated within its design capabilities.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection equipment and monitor dosage rates of process fluids/gas efficiently.
  • Kept accurate log of all events and activities of the SHP Process Operations.
  • Providing full technical support to the Senior / Junior operators and undertake to provide training and guidance where
    shortfalls are identified.
  • Attend safety briefings and pre-job safety talks and actively participate. 
  • First line of response in an emergency situation.
  • Report to the Production Shift Supervisor all matters relevant to the safe operations of the plant.

DUTIES:

  • Training of national labor both through CBTA & OJT on a daily basis to ensure a good safety culture and disciplines skills are passed on.
  • Attend Platform activities and toolbox talk Shift meeting.
  • Attend Production Department toolbox talk Shift meeting.
  • Maintain relevant Isolation records in accordance with eth PTW and other procedures, pertaining to the DCS control, Shut-down and Fire and Gas systems.
  • Continuously monitor process operating parameters ensuring all systems are operated within design capabilities and to
    current production targets.
  • React correctly and promptly to all process upsets and maintain concise and clear communications with plant technicians and supervisors, providing operational advice as required.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and member of MOME. Member of Essential Personnel during
    evacuation plan.
  • Monitor field vessel activity and other radio traffic during the night shift periods.
  • Assist the supervisor in developing operations procedure.
  • Carry out proper shift handover ensuring all overrides being addressed.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and technical solutions.
  • Provide accurate logs of all events and activities of the SHP Process Operations.
  • Provide assistance for Produccion Daily Reports.
