QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical degree with at least 3-year experience with supervisory position in related fields,
  • Good command of English in writing and speaking
  • Experience in NGO networks is an advantage
  • To be autonomous, responsible, initiative and have good capacity of organization
  • To have good interpersonal skills and team management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the CSR Kanbauk Program, job holder is responsible for overall Public Health Program under the supervision of Kanbauk Program Leader (KPL) such as:

  • To reside in Kanbauk and visits regularly to 33 project villages, mainly for implementing preventive projects, leading the public health team; Community Health Mobilizers (CHMs) and Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) of the project villages.

(1) Program Implementation

  • Design, implement and monitor Primary Health care activities in the project area (self implementation and /or collaboration with NGOs )
  • Ensure smooth implementation of Best Motherhood project
  • Ensure to run the NCD project effectively and efficiently in the project villages.
  • Design programs to support low income / poor patients to have access to proper healthcare services
  • Assist in Government campaigns where possible i.e. Mother and Child Health (MCH) activities, Special Vaccination Campaigns etc
  • Ensure good collaboration with hospitals / health staff in Kanbauk region
  • Ensure to improve the health knowledge and attitude of the community in innovative ways.
  • Improve the capacity of local CBOs in health awareness and response plan
  • Facilitate the process of special healthcare related outreach campaigns in Kanbauk region
  • Lead the team in developing different IECs for project specific activities.

(2) Team Management

  • Assign the project villages, duties and responsibilities of CHMs
  • Monitor the activities of team and approve their Monthly Activity Sheet (MAS) accordingly.
  • Provide support and advice to CHMs / VHWs in project implementation.
  • Ensure the participation of the VHVs in the public health project activities

(3) Financial Management

  • Submit yearly budget proposal to KPL and CSR Manager.
  • To keep good monitoring system on budget and work with KPL and budget controller.
  • Submit timely request-for-payment (RFP) and purchasing request (PR) for project activities.
  • Manage cash effectively and keep records to be auditable at all time
  • Following Company compliance procedures strictly such as DDQ, Warning Flap, E-register, etc., in dealing with the other stakeholders.

(4) Co-ordination and Co-operation

  • Maintain the good relationship with township health authorities through regular visits to Yebyu.
  • Co-ordinate, collaborate and co-operate with local government health staff including Station Medical Officers (SMOs).
  • Deal and co-ordinate with local authority, Village Communication Committee (VCC), VHVs, community-based organizations (CBOs), International NGOs for project activities and other promotive health activities of local community.
  • Build and maintain the relationship with new health-related-stakeholders.

(5) Logistics Management

  • Proper management of medicines & medical equipment in ordering, storing, dispensing.

(6) Supervision and Monitoring

  • Prepare and submit yearly plan to KPL and CSR manager.
  • Organize weekly team meetings.
  • Report to and discuss with KPL on PH activities weekly basic.
  • Ensure to receive weekly and monthly reports from PH team members.
  • Prepare and submit PH reports to KPL weekly, monthly and annual basic.
  • Conduct supervision visits to project villages and activities regularly.
  • Proper recording and reporting of special reports and yearly data.

(7) Communication / stakeholders engagement

  • Participate in the familiarization of PLC clinic with PLC doctor.
  • Participate in and contribute to the community social activities such as traditional occasions, wedding ceremonies, religious affairs.
