About the job Material Planner

About the role:

Material planner is responsible for ensuring material is accurately aligned to the Production Integrated Schedule, such that the right material is available at the right time. Work closely with the coordinators to generate MTO, resource allocation, survey schedule, and productivity monitoring. In charge of overall materials management which include but not limited to store keeping, scrap monitoring, hazardous materials handling, incoming materials inspection and warehousing.

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any engineering or related courses.
  • Formal training in Ship building, Construction projects or related
  • Formal technical qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferable in a variety of Ship building or construction roles
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in related scheduling (e.g. shipbuilding)
  • Proven skills (scheduling, resource management, planning etc.)
  • Ability to take lead and act as part of a team
  • Highly PC literate –Microsoft Project, Primavera, Excel
