About the role

The role act as the central point of liaison between various stakeholders for a vessel project and to provide technical independent oversight of project deliverables (Design and Quality).

Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the central point of liaison between the Client, Classification society, Flag authority, MARINA (Philippines Maritime Authority), & AP Production departments.
  • Ensure that the finished vessel satisfies the appropriately balanced requirements of the Contract vessel specification, Classification society, & Flag authority.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of, and keep up to date with, all Rules and Regulations pertaining to the design and construction of aluminium vessels.
  • Monitor procurement activities such as equipment order list, material take-off items, & critical services.
  • Arrange pre-launch hull inspection with owners' representatives to ensure hull tightness and completion of all items that cannot be checked after launch.

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably a licensed engineer.
  • Tertiary qualification in a technical field with substantial experience in the marine industry.
  • Trade qualification with at least 5 years of suitable marine experience.
  • Effective communication skills written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
