About the job Quality Control Assistant (Welding)
PURPOSE
The QC Assistant (Welding) provides support in the implementation of weld quality control plans, destructive and non-destructive test plan and procedure, and other welding quality related activities to ensure conformance to specified Quality requirement and welding codes and standards. His/Her tasks include preparation and/or checking of required resources (materials, test area, tools/equipment, data, documents), execution of the required inspection or test and preparing reports and relevant documentation.He/She is also responsible for maintaining and improving inspection process and controls to achieve and continuously improve quality of constructed vessels.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Minimum upper secondary education graduate (Senior high)
- Basic knowledge in AutoCAD
- Good working knowledge on technical drawing interpretations
Desirable
- Preferably College graduate, Engineering or Technical courses
- Working experience as a welder is an advantage
- With knowledge or working experience as an NDT operator/technician
