HR Manager
Job Description:
The HR Manager role is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR and Recruitment functions/operations for our team, and through this also supporting the broader business functions of a small, but dynamic boutique BPO organisation. The role requires someone who will 'do the job' - this role is very hands-on, and the successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running. This position combines strong human resources management with business operations acumen; room for growth is very much a reality. We’re looking for someone loyal and dedicated; who is capable of wearing a few different hats; and excited to be part of a growing family owned small business.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Oversight of all aspects of the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and off-boarding.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labour laws, DOLE regulations, and internal company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Manage employee relations and provide access to coaching, mediation, and guidance to both clients and staff as required.
- Lead engagement, culture, and retention initiatives in alignment with company values. Examples include employee referrals, managing Glassdoor profile and workforce surveys etc..
- Administration of compensation, benefits, leave, and timekeeping systems in coordination with payroll and finance teams.
- Provision of required support and guidance to clients regarding matters such as how to manage leave requests, how to use timekeeping software as required, as examples.
Human Resources Operations and Systems
- Manage and maintain all employee data within HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Create, manage and optimise HR processes and related SOPs to improve procedures, efficiency and employee experience.
- Develop HR and recruitment reports, metrics and analytics to support leadership decision-making.
- Oversee compliance audits, policy reviews, and document control.
Cross-functional Operations
- When required, collaborate with IT, Finance and Learning and Development teams to ensure smooth pre-boarding, onboarding and off-boarding, as well as payroll accuracy
- Work closely with Australian leadership to align HR operational processes with company goals, and help to achieve forecasted growth targets
- Support workforce planning, budgeting, and capacity management.
- Identify and implement operational improvements and automation opportunities.
Collaborative Strategic Projects
- If required, support the CEO and/or the General Manager with special projects across HR, IT, and business operations
- Develop and manage SOPs and process documentation for HR workflows
Key Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of Philippine labour laws and employment compliance, as well as good exposure to employee benefits programs
- Exceptional organisational and administrative ability with excellent attention to detail
- High level of technical proficiency (Google Workspace, MS Office, HRIS systems, payroll platforms).
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- English fluency, with strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Proven experience in managing HR processes and leading small teams
- Analytical thinker with the ability to translate data into operational insights
Key Details, Remuneration and Benefits
- The basic monthly salary for this role is 50,000 PHP, plus 13th month, SSS, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth
- The role is permanent WFH, full time and there is no provision to be working any additional VA work
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday, Australian business hours (morning shift)
- Laptop, keyboard and mouse are provided
- 20 days of leave credits
- HMO (principal only) from day 1 including life insurance
