Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy

Medical Assistant (Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire)
Location: Buford, GA (Primary Care Clinic)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay rate: $20-22

A well-established primary care clinic in Buford is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for either a temp-to-perm or direct hire opportunity. This role requires a highly dependable, clinically strong MA who can work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Candidate Profile

• 1–7 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (cross-trained preferred)
• Proven punctuality and consistent attendance (required)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Strong documentation accuracy and EMR proficiency (EMR ECW preferred)
• Excellent clinical skills and patient interaction abilities
• Prior experience in an outpatient setting (primary care strongly preferred)
• Adaptable team player with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable with technology, medical software, and EMR systems

Back Office Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

• Room patients and accurately document vitals, medical history, and medications
• Perform phlebotomy (required)
• Administer vaccines and injections
• Process prior authorizations and referrals
• Conduct telephone triage (Rx refills, patient inquiries, lab results, provider follow-up)
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Provide clinical support to physician/providers
• Maintain and clean exam rooms

Front Office Responsibilities (As Needed)

• Patient check-in and check-out
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
• Verify insurance and collect payments
• Review faxes and assist with administrative tasks

Requirements

• Must reside within a 45-minute commute to Buford (during rush hour)
• Must be able to pass a background check
