MUST have healthcare experience.This temporary Business Analyst role is designed for a highly capable, hands-on professional who can quickly step into an active operational environment and deliver impact with minimal ramp-up time.
The role focuses on analyzing, validating, and resolving sales tracings and contract-related data issues, partnering closely with Contract Administration, distributors, and internal stakeholders. Rather than purely processing data, this position emphasizes understanding business rules, identifying root causes of issues, improving workflows, and ensuring data supports accurate downstream financial outcomes.
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, applying business logic to imperfect data, and driving issues to resolution in a fast-paced environment.
Your role
Quickly onboard to existing tracings and contract administration processes and independently manage day-to-day operational analysis
Analyze incoming sales tracings data from multiple sources (EDI, spreadsheets) to ensure alignment with contract and customer business rules
Investigate data discrepancies, mismatches, and missing tracings by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
Partner with Contract Administration to ensure correct contract setup and timely issue resolution
Serve as a point of contact for distributor-related tracings issues, coordinating follow-ups and driving closure
Monitor tracings flow within Model N, proactively identifying exceptions and potential downstream impacts
Apply judgment and business context to determine appropriate handling of complex or non-standard scenarios
Document business rules, issue resolution patterns, and process improvements to support consistency and scalability
Identify opportunities to improve tracings accuracy, reduce recurring issues, and strengthen preventive controls
Support ad hoc analysis and operational reporting requests as needed
Contribute immediately as a trusted team member with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment

Education and experience:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a business analyst, operations analyst, or contract/tracings-related role, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret large data sets (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn systems, business rules, and workflows with limited oversight
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data issues into clear business insights and actions
Excellent communication skills, with confidence interacting across teams and external partners
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, operational environment
Preferred
Experience working with sales tracings, chargebacks, rebates, or contract administration processes
Working knowledge of Model N, SAP, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems
Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing process improvements
Strong stakeholder collaboration skills and ability to influence outcomes without formal authority
Prior experience in temporary or project-based roles requiring rapid ramp-up and immediate contribution
