VACANCY: Storeman (Fixed Term x8 Months)

REPORTING: Logistics Supervisor

LOCATION: Heidelberg (Gauteng)

Aero Support Force Africa (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for a detail-oriented, problem-solving and analytical individual to fill a position as a Storeman. The role is based in Heidelberg (Gauteng).

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Stock and Consumables via TRAXALL.
  • Issue the correct item and quantity at the right time to the correct person/place/contract.
  • Manage Calibration Tools, Safety Equipment, lifting strops, slings and Ground Supporting Equipment (GSE) via Traxall.
  • Goods Receipt Inspection.
  • Receiving parts.
  • Packaging for Dispatch.
  • Contract allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with our Safety Management System, Quality Policy & Manual of Procedure (MOP).
  • Ensure Inventory is correctly maintained via TRAXALL.
  • Manage Shelf-Life Items.
  • Carry out regular stock takes.
  • Ensure stock is correctly binned.
  • Material review process.
  • Management of Consumables.
  • Manage lifting strops, slings and Ground Supporting Equipment (GSE) via TRAXALL.
  • Manage Special Tool store.
  • Weekly fuel quality checks.
  • Maintain fuel Quality records.
  • Manage fuel levels.
  • Assist with Helicopter refueling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workplace.
  • Printing, issuing and completing relevant documentation.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong Technical skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally at all levels and in written form, in English.
  • The ability to communicate in another official language will be an advantage.
  • Ability to cope with multiple demands.
  • Openness to change and learning, personal flexibility.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong Administration Skills.
  • Work efficiently and complete work timeously.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Traxall, AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Planning) and AMS (Aircraft Maintenance Schedules) software (preferable).
  • Valid driver's license.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The following is essential for this position:

  • Grade 12.
  • Stock Control Certificate or similar (advantageous).
  • +- 5 years in an Aviation Store Environment.
  • Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic (advantageous).
  • Must be familiar with the operation in an AMO, within the scope of an MOP.
  • Experience in Aircraft maintenance documentation and component removal and installation.
  • Experience in Aircraft parts purchasing, storage and issuing.
  • Experience in an Aviation related Stores environment (advantageous).
