VACANCY: Liaison Officer (LO).
REPORTING TO: Operations General Manager.
LOCATION: Central Africa.
Starlite Aviation Group requires a reliable and communicative Liaison Officer (LO) to support operations in Central Africa. The Liaison Officer (LO) ensures effective communication between the Client and Starlite Base team, aligning operations with contractual obligations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the official communication channel between the Client and Starlites Base team.
- Relay mission planning details, requests, and feedback from the Client to the Operations General Manager.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and responsive relationship with the Client and other mission stakeholders.
- Participate in formal and informal meetings, gathering information and ensuring it reaches the appropriate Base personnel.
- Support the coordination of logistics, scheduling, and documentation as required by operational demands.
- Uphold company values and promote a cohesive working environment through respectful and effective communication.
- Ensure base readiness for flight operations, including crew briefings, resource availability, and contingency planning.
- Compliance and Regulatory Monitoring to ensure all contractual aviation activities comply with local and SACAA aviation regulations.
- Risk Management by identifying potential risks in aviation contracts and propose mitigation strategies to Flight Operations Manager.
- Budget and Financial Oversight track expenditures on base and ensuring spend is within budgetary requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact between crew members. Address crew concerns and queries promptly and professionally.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to act as a neutral and effective intermediary between teams.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). French is advantageous
- Calm, organized, and capable of working under pressure and in austere environments.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement or client-facing roles.
- Competence with common programs and communication tools (email, excel, word, MS Teams, reporting systems).
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The following list of qualifications is essential to fill the position:
- Experience in aviation, humanitarian, or military/UN/EU operations.
- Exposure to medical evacuation, logistics, or coordination tasks.
- Work experience in Central Africa or similar environments.
